VP External
Amanda Hills

Hi friends! I’m Amanda, and I’m your VP External for the year! I’m in U2 studying Honours Political Science with a minor in Philosophy. My favorite color is orange, I’m deathly terrified of cats, and I’m most at ease with a cup of coffee in my hand. I’m super excited for this year, and I’ve got big plans to work with the rest of McGill and the Montreal community to help make it a great one for all of you. Aside from that, I care a lot about living happy and healthy lives here at McGill, so hit me up if there is every anything I can do for you. I’m always around at [email protected], or at Snax. Throw a wave at me around campus!
VP Internal
Stephen Bateman

Bonjour/Hi! My name is Stephen I am your VP internal for the 2016-2017 year ☺ I hail from Toronto, okay fine, Etobicoke. SAME THING RIGHT?? I am in my third year at McGill and have loved every second of it. Throughout my entire life I have loved politics and I am thrilled to be studying it! I also work at BDA (Bar Des Arts) so please feel free to say ‘wassup’ and play some flip cup avec moi!! Hit any of us up for any Poli. Sci. questions, we want to help you guys out!
VP Events
Ryan Shah

Hey Poli Sci! I’m Ryan and I’ll be your VP Events for the upcoming academic year. I’m a U3 Honours Poli Sci student with minors in International Development and East Asian Studies and I couldn’t be more excited to take on this role! As VP Events my job is to plan social and academic events that bring Poli Sci Students together, my hope is that you’ll be able to make some amazing connections at PSSA events (and maybe even meet the future PM?). In addition to facilitating the PSSA’s annual social events, my goal this year is to ensure a good showing of academic-oriented events and events that give students an accessible platform to discuss issues they’re passionate about with their fellow students. If you have questions/suggestions for events or just want to chat feel free to e-mail me at [email protected], find me at my permanent home in McLennan or slide into my DM’s (that was supposed to be a joke, but feel free to toss me a follow) – I’m always down to talk current events, so if you see me out and about on campus don’t be a stranger!
VP Academic
Troy Björkman

Hello fellow Political Science students! My name is Troy Björkman and I’m thrilled to be serving as your VP Academic for the 2016-17 year! Originally from Helsinki, Finland, I’m in U3 studying honours Poli Sci and IDS. I’m greatly looking forward to working with both faculty and students to further your academic interests at our department. If you have any questions, suggestions or concerns about the programme, or if you just want someone to talk to about academics in general, please feel free to get in touch! Shoot me an email at [email protected], come visit me during my PSSA office hours, or find me lurking around the McLennan Library!
VP Communications
Garima Karia

Hello Poli Sci royalty! My name is Garima, and I’m both honoured and ecstatic to be your VP Communications this academic year. I’m currently a U2 student double majoring in Honours Political Science and History, with a minor in Cultural Studies, and I love Gilmore Girls, political satire, and abbreviations. As an avid communicator, I’m excited to work with my portfolio, the PSSA Exec, and the rest of the political science community to make our program as accessible and hype as possible. I’m also really looking forward to working with the stellar professors in our department in order to bring them closer to us, the students, so that we can also learn from their experiences outside of the lecture halls and represent #poligang all together.

Feel free to email me anytime at [email protected], or via Facebook, Twitter, Insta, Snapchat with any questions/concerns that you may have. Stay fun & fresh, my friends!

VP Finance
Mitch Clarke

Hey everyone, my name is Mitchell Clarke and I’m a U3 Political Science major with a minor in Hispanic Language. I love international relations and international political economy in particular (Brawley!). I was born in Nova Scotia and grew up in eastern Ontario. This is (sadly) my final year at McGill, but it’s my first year on the PSSA exec and I couldn’t be happier. We’ve got a great year planned for you all so stay tuned and keep it political!

President Tofunmi Odugbemi

Hi everyone, my name is Tofunmi Odugbemi and I will be serving as this year's PSSA President! I love donuts, Beyoncé, and McGill. I study Political Science and African Studies. I hope to improve the diversity of events offered by the PSSA, increase student inclusion and access to events, and build a place for long-term connections with fellow peers and professors. As President, I plan on continuing the successes of the PSSA so we may maximize your experience as political science students.

Feel free to say ‘hi’ in class and around campus. I look forward to meeting many of you and getting to know new faces around campus! Email me at anytime at [email protected].
